Fantasy Analysis
The emergence of Jeremy Lin has almost made Davis' recovery from this back injury a non-issue for the Knicks. If Lin keeps playing like this, they could take or leave Davis. His last "setback" has him basically starting over in his rehab. Until Davis does something on a basketball court, he'll have almost no realistic Fantasy value. (Updated 02/11/2012).
02/06/2012 22:10 Knicks' Lin scores 28; Melo strains groin
Jeremy Lin scored a career-high 28 points in his first career start, Steve Novak added a season-best 19, and the New York Knicks overcame the absence of Amar'e Stoudemire and early loss of Carmelo Anthony to beat the Utah Jazz 99-88 on Monday night.

02/02/2012 10:14 Courtside Seat: Do the Knicks have a point?
The Knicks back court has been inconsistent so far and with Baron Davis close to returning, the picture is murky. Our Jamey Eisenberg breaks down the Knicks going forward and much more from his Courtside Seat.
Veteran G Baron Davis enters the 2011-12 campaign surrounded by uncertainty. Despite the possibility of Davis missing a huge chunk of the season because of a back injury, he signed with New York after being released by Cleveland and could start for the Knicks once he returns. Davis embraced the chance for a fresh start with the Cavaliers last season and averaged 13.9 points and 6.1 assists following a trade from the Clippers. But Davis missed time due to his nagging left knee and back spasms. The 32-year-old might not return to the court until late January with the current setback. Fantasy owners should be wary of selecting him in 2011-12 drafts and target him only in the later rounds of most leagues. (Updated 12/19/11)
