Miller playing in pain : Nuggets guard Andre Miller told Denver Post on Saturday that he continues to be bothered by his troublesome right shoulder. Miller has been dealing with his shoulder injury for most of the season and continues to wear a protective shoulder pad. "Sometimes it looks like he's going to faint out there, the pain is so sharp," Nuggets coach George Karl said after the game. "He looks like a fighter who has kind of been stunned. He never asks to come out, always says he can play. I'm sure he'll be pretty sore tomorrow." (Updated 03/31/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Miller continues to play through his shoulder injury and has been seeing around 26 minutes off the bench for Denver. However, he has only scored in double figures twice over his last five contests and is averaging 10.4 points and 5.8 assists over that stretch. The 36-year-old said he has no plans to miss anytime moving forward, so continue to view Miller as a viable low-end option, as long as he is able to stay on the court. (Updated 03/31/2012).

The 35-year-old Miller has reached the twilight of his NBA career after 13 seasons. Entering his 14th, Miller looks to be out of a starting job as he moved over to the Nuggets after two seasons in Portland. New coach George Karl is ready to begin the Ty Lawson era in Denver, with Miller playing mostly a bench role and backing Lawson up. Miller has definitely been durable over the course of his career as he’s played at least 80 games in each of his seasons. That fact really cannot be understated as he’ll be ready to fill in for Lawson should the youngster get hurt. Miller was solid but not spectacular with the Trail Blazers last season over 33 minutes per game. He put up 12.7 points, 7.0 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game and shot 46 percent from the field. Of course, he only shot 11 percent from 3-point range and he’s going to get even fewer shots with the Nuggets. Miller should still see plenty of minutes and could see even more should Lawson struggle. That said, his value is definitely as low as it has been heading into the 2011-12 season. Consider him just inside the top 40 Fantasy guards. Miller should be drafted beginning in the late-middle rounds. (Updated 8/28/11)
