Miller to see a boost? : With Ty Lawson expected to miss Wednesday's contest against the Jazz as well as Thursday's tilt versus Dallas, guard Andre Miller could be in line to see a boost during Fantasy Week 23 (April 1-7). Miller, who is averaging 9.5 points, 5.9 assists and 3.0 rebounds on the year, is expected to start at point guard during the Nuggets next two contests, reports the Denver Post. (Updated 4/1/13) |

While Miller has posted the lowest scoring output of his career this season in Denver, keep in mind he spends most of his time coming off the bench. The veteran has been much more productive as a starter as he is averaging 12.7 points, 7.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds on 50.8 percents shooting from the field over his six starts. While Denver is only slated to play three times during the upcoming scoring period, owners looking for help at the guard position should consider rolling with Miller, considering he will start at least two of those games. (Updated 4/1/13). |
| Andre Miller spent much of his first season in Denver as a reserve and as a result finished with one of his least productive seasons in quite some time. The 36-year-old only started seven games during the 2011-12 campaign and wound up averaging a career-worst 9.7 points per game. However, his rebounding and assists totals remained on par with his career averages and Miller's 6.7 dimes per game last season actually led the Nuggets. The veteran also once again showed his durability as he appeared in every game last season, which is the ninth time he has accomplished that feat over his 13-year career. Miller decided to re-sign with the Nuggets this offseason and will likely serve as Ty Lawson's primary backup once again. Still, his versatility on both sides of the ball should continue to keep his minutes up around the 27-30 range, allowing him plenty of time get his numbers. While Father Time will eventually catch up to Miller, he can be considered a viable low-end No. 2 guard in most formats heading into next season. (Updated 8/22/12) |
