Preseason Outlook

Pacers part ways with Posey: Indiana used its amnesty provision to waive F James Posey on Monday, according to several reports. Posey had roughly $7 million remaining for the last year on his current contract. The Pacers told Posey last week not to report to training camp. (Updated 12/12/2011)

Fantasy Analysis
Posey was not expected to be a part of Indiana's plan this season after he finished with a career-low 4.9 points per game last year. The 34-year-old is hardly the proficient rebounder he was earlier in his career and also managed just 3.0 boards a game last season. He should be ignored in all 2011-12 Fantasy drafts.
