Mbah a Moute had missed nine games in a row due to a sprained toe prior to the illness, so he is likely itching to get back on the floor. Mbah a Moute is only averaging 5.9 points and 3.3 rebounds over his last seven games, giving him minimal value in most Fantasy formats, even when healthy.

| Luc Mbah a Moute performed as expected last season as he averaged 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds over his 43 games for the Bucks. The 25-year-old did shoot a career-best 51 percent from the field but struggled at the foul line as he made a career-low 64 percent of his shots at the charity stripe. Mbah Moute has been a model of consistency over his career as he has around 7.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in each of his four seasons in the league and has done so while seeing 25 minutes per game. While he will be competing with Mike Dunleavy and Tobias Harris for minutes at small forward, Fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting much an increase from the former UCLA standout. Mbah a Moute continues to struggle with his outside shot as he made just 22 percent of his jump shots (21 for 92) and usually garners minutes because of his defensive prowess. Even if he does wind up starting in coach Scott Skilles rotation, the fifth-year forward won't be expected to log major minutes and could be slowed a bit in training camp after having surgery on his right knee in the offseason. Only owners in deeper formats should consider scooping up Mbah a Moute with a late-round pick. (Updated 8/27/12) |
