Heat's Spoelstra: Henry Walker 'has fearlessness about him'
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(2/25/15) Heat shooting guard Henry Walker struggled with his shot Wednesday but came up big when needed, sinking two three-pointers in the final minute of regulation to help erase a late eight-point deficit in his team's 93-90 win over the Magic.
Walker was just 3 of 13 from the field in the game and missed his first nine three-point attempts. However, the Heat drew up a play to get him the ball with 25 seconds left and he buried his first three-pointer of the game to bring his team to within two. After the Magic made one of two free-throw attempts, Walker found the ball in his hands after a series of passes and made another shot from behind the arc to send the game into overtime.
"He kept on shooting and that's what you like. He has fearlessness about him," coach Erik Spoelstra said after the game, per the Associated Press.
Walker, who was signed to a 10-day contract Friday, played 33 minutes off the bench in the comeback win, racking up six rebounds, two assists and two steals in addition to scoring 10 points. His next chance to impress will come Friday against the Pelicans in New Orleans.
