C Brook Lopez 'happy to be here' with the Nets
|by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com|
|(2/20/15) Though it appeared Brook Lopez was headed elsewhere, the center stayed put with the Nets following Thursday's NBA trade deadline.
The Thunder were reportedly close to pulling the trigger on a trade to land Lopez before backing out and engaging in a three-team deal with the Pistons and Jazz. That means Lopez will remain in Brooklyn for the remainder of the 2014-15 season.
“I’m happy to be here,” Lopez said, via the New York Post.
Lopez is averaging 15.3 points and 6.2 rebounds in 27.1 minutes per game for the Nets this season.

Report: Nets, Thunder increasing talks over Lopez, Jackson
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(2/19/15) Talks between the Nets and Thunder involving a trade for center Brook Lopez and guard Reggie Jackson have begun to pick up steam, sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Nets would reportedly make the deal, if they believe Jackson will sign an extension with the team. The two teams are reportedly seeking a third team to complete the deal, sources told ESPN.
|"If Brook Lopez were able to stay healthy..." That has become a mantra for Fantasy basketball owners over the last three seasons, as the once-durable big man has become one of the league's most brittle stars. Lopez was limited to just 17 games last season as he dealt with yet another foot injury, the second time he has had a season end prematurely due to issues with his feet. He had been the Nets' best player and one of the top centers in Fantasy prior to the injury, averaging 20.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots per game while averaging just 31.4 minutes per game. At this point, Lopez is one of the ultimate boom-or-bust players in the league. If you get 70-plus games out of him, few big men can match his productivity, but there is simply no guarantee he is capable of that at this point. Lopez could be a great value in the early middle rounds on Draft Day, but you can't take the risk of looking his way much earlier.
