|(1/25/15) Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic will make his return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game at Atlanta, the team announced.

|Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic enters the 2014-15 season with a big question mark. The 28-year-old missed 14 of the last 17 games of the season -- including the final nine -- as a result of an ankle injury and has yet to play a full season in the league. He got off to a fast start last season when healthy and was clearly not the same player once he was bothered by a sore ankle. From the start of last season to Dec. 30, Pekovic averaged 17.5 points. 9.1 boards in 33.8 minutes while shooting 52.3 percent from the field over that span (31 games). Since the start of the calendar year in 2014, he only appeared in 23 of Minnesota's final 51 games, averaging 17.4 points, 8.0 rebounds in 26.7 minutes while shooting 56.5 percent from the floor in 23 contests. According to Flip Saunders, Pekovic is fully healthy and ready to go this season. In 2013-14, Pekovic averaged a career-high 17.4 points and added 8.7 boards per game in 54 contests. He also enjoyed arguably his best shooting season in the league, converting 54.0 percent of his field goal attempts, and 74.7 percent of his shots from the charity stripe. He shot a career-best 56.4 percent from the field in 2011-12, but took 246 less shots than he did last season. Fantasy owners know what they're getting with Pekovic when drafting him. It's incredibly difficult to have him healthy for 82 games, but we still like him in the middle rounds come Draft Day.
