Suns' Thomas attributes improved shooting to wrist procedure
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(1/26/15) Over the last four games, Suns guard Isaiah Thomas has made 15 of 30 3-point shots and he said it's because of recently having fluid drained from his shooting wrist, reports The Arizona Republic.
"It affected my shot when I released," Thomas said. "It feels better. I got it done last week when we got home."
Thomas had surgery on the wrist during the offseason and said the fluid buildup is normal and he might need it drained again before the season ends.
"They said it might come back because it's come back two or three times since [the surgery]," he said. "That was the third time they've done it this year. They did something different and it's helped."

Suns' Isaiah Thomas scores 23 off the bench

|(12/17/14) Suns guard Isaiah Thomas dropped 23 points off the bench on Wednesday.
Thomas shot 7-13 from the field, including 3-8 from beyond the arc. He also hit six of his 10 free throw attempts. Thomas finished with three rebounds and three assists. He played 28 minutes despite coming off the bench.
|What's a guy got to do to earn a starting point guard role? Isaiah Thomas had nearly identical stats to Kyrie Irving last season, yet the Kings let him walk in restricted free agency and he landed on the Suns -- a team with two high-usage guards already in the starting lineup. Assuming Dragic and Bledsoe are healthy and on the roster, Thomas' value should fall somewhere in between those two studs and the steady rotation of streaming options the Suns rolled out last season. He'll likely fall in the Jamal Crawford range of valuable sixth men for Fantasy. He'll still score, but Thomas will have a hard time getting back up over five assists per game in Phoenix's crowded backcourt. Barring some change in the roster dynamic, it's probably best to let Thomas fall to the middle rounds of your draft.
