Collison returns in reserve role : Pacers guard Darren Collison was able to get back in the lineup for Saturday night's contest against the 76ers. Collison, who had missed the previous two games due to a groin injury, will be moved to the bench for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs. Where weve struggled is with the second unit scoring and the hope is D.C. can come in and infuse some life into that unit and get this entire team playing at a level 10, take it even a step higher from where were at right now, Vogel said. Thats what Ive asked D.C. to do, to focus on energizing that second unit. (Updated 04/21/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Collison was able to return to the court on Saturday night, but now looks to have lost his starting gig to George Hill. Collison will now looking at around 20-25 minutes per night for Indiana, which will likely lead to a decrease in production. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on how Collison responds to his new role over the final few games of the season. Fantasy owners should consider the 24-year-old a viable low-end option in most formats now that he has been moved to the bench. (Updated 04/21/2012).

05/16/2012 12:47 Dwyane Wade's foul on Darren Collison will not be upgraded, no further action
A league spokesman Wednesday morning told CBSSports.com that the league has reviewed Dwyane Wade's flagrant foul on Darren Collison during the Heat's Game 2 loss to Indiana Tuesday night, and will not upgrade the foul nor will there be further action taken against Wade.
Darren Collison was definitely a disappointment during his first year with the Pacers. After putting up an impressive 18.8 points and 9.1 assists during his rookie campaign in New Orleans, many were excited about the promise of Collison being a starter in Indiana. However, the 23-year-old was somewhat of a bust, averaging just 13.2 points and 5.1 assists during the 2011-12 season. He shot nearly seven percentage points lower from behind the arc and had a hard time learning Indiana's offensive sets. Now Collison could be in danger of losing his starting gig, as George Hill was brought in from the Spurs. Hill is expected to challenge Collison for the starting point-guard role, but could still steal some of his minutes even if he comes off the bench. There is also the possibility the club opts to use both on the court at the same time, which would allow Collison to continue and see significant minutes. While many feel he does have the talent to become a top-tier Fantasy guard, there are way too many unknowns surrounding his current situation heading into next season. Based on what we now right now, Collison would be worth a mid-to-late round pick in all formats on Draft Day. (Updated 8/29/11)
