Douglas not ready for debut: Kings guard Toney Douglas was held out of Sunday's contest against the Hornets. Douglas, who was available for the first time since being traded from the Rockets, earned a DNP -- coach's decision.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Douglas may be still dealing with a hip pointer, but was healthy enough to pass his exam after the trade. At this point, the Kings have not given any info on his injury status and it appeared as if the 26-year-old was available to play Sunday. Douglas, who has been held out since Feb. 8, could see a slight boost in Sacramento, so we'll keep an eye on his role moving forward. For now, he should be viewed as merely a low-end option in deeper Fantasy formats, when healthy.

| The Knicks' attempts to have Toney Douglas work as a point guard through the first three seasons of his career met with disastrous results, as he cratered last season to averages of 6.2 points and 2.0 assists while shooting 32.4 percent from the field. Now, the Rockets will try to harness his talents, as he was sent to Houston in an offseason trade for Marcus Camby. Douglas has proven he can be a solid three-point shooter, but clearly his offensive decision making leaves plenty to be desired as a primary play maker. He could have some value as a three-point specialist, but Douglas is not worth targeting in most Fantasy leagues. (Updated 8/21/12) |
