Knicks may lean on Douglas: With guard Jeremy Lin likely out for the remainder of the regular season, the Knicks could provide more playing time to seldom-used Toney Douglas, the New York Post reports. Douglas played 10 minutes -- his most since Feb. 4 -- during the Knicks' win over Cleveland on Saturday. "I feel like this is Toneys perfect opportunity to step up and be used for us down the stretch," New York center Tyson Chandler said. (Updated 04/02/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Douglas recorded five points and two rebounds against the Cavaliers in only his fourth game action of March. "Toney gave us some positive minutes," interim coach Mike Woodson said, insisting Douglas will continue to receive time. "He was probably a little nervous getting in there, but I thought once he got up and down the floor a few times, he looked pretty good moving around." Douglas has shown he can contribute when he scored in double-digits during four of his first six games this season. Consider him a possible injury replacement in deeper Fantasy formats. 04/30/2012 12:08 New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat Game 2 Preview: Fronting Carmelo
Our team brings you the preview of the biggest playoff game on the docket each night. Today, the Knicks try and even the series, or at least get their pride back against the Heat in Game 2.
Douglas became a double-digit scorer for the Knicks last season as an NBA sophomore. The former Florida State star averaged 10.6 points per game with 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He also picked up a steal and almost two 3-pointers per contest in more than 24 minutes per night. Even more impressively, Douglas’ numbers actually improved dramatically after Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups came over from Denver as New York lost a lot of contributing players in the deal and asked Douglas to step up. Douglas scored 13.4 points per game with 4.5 assists after the All-Star break. If he continues down that line, Douglas could have big-time sleeper appeal in Fantasy. Of course, the Knicks drafted Iman Shumpert, who could challenge his role in the offense. Douglas should still be given plenty of playing time, however, and can be targeted with a late-round draft pick as a top 70 Fantasy guard. (Updated 8/23/11)
