Griffin limited in season finale: Clippers forward Blake Griffin did not start Friday's Game 6 against the Grizzlies, and he was able to play just 14 minutes due to an ankle injury. Griffin scored nine points on 3 of 5 shooting, while grabbing three rebounds. He was limited through the final two games of the series due to the ankle, and that is likely a large part of why the Clippers were eliminated with Friday's game. (Updated 5/4/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Griffin was disappointing in the postseason, but his regular season numbers remained very impressive. He did not average 20-plus points or a double-double for the first time in his three seasons, but he was still one of the top forwards in the game. Griffin averaged 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in a career-low 32.5 minutes per game. Griffin might lose Chris Paul, his pick and roll partner over the last two seasons, but he actually enjoyed his best statistical season prior to Paul joining the team, so he should be fine. Griffin is worth targeting in the early rounds of all Fantasy formats on Draft Day. (Updated 5/4/13). |
| Blake Griffin actually took a small step back in his second season in the league, though he was such a tremendous force as a rookie that it is tough to blame him for that. Especially since he received some help in his sophomore season, with the addition of Chris Paul to the Clippers roster. The 22-year-old remains as talented as any young forward in the game, and with another year under his belt, he should only get better moving forward. He has averaged a double-double in each of his two seasons in the NBA, and there is little reason to think he will not be able to keep that up in 2012-13. He is one of the five best forwards in all of Fantasy, and should be gone by the middle of the second round. (Updated 10/10/12) |
