Hawks' Jeff Teague to miss third straight game Monday
|by Jeff Borzello | College Basketball Writer|
|(12/22/14) Hawks point guard Jeff Teague is out for Monday's game against the Mavericks with a hamstring injury.
This makes three straight games out of the lineup for Teague while dealing with the hamstring. Dennis Schroder looks likely to start for the Hawks.
|After the first two months of the season, Jeff Teague appeared to be blossoming into a true star in Mike Budenholzer's newly installed offensive system. Teague averaged 17.0 points and 8.2 assists per game in November and December, but his breakout was somewhat derailed by the season-ending injury suffered by Al Horford. From Jan. 1 on, Teague averaged 16.2 points and 5.7 assists per game, solid numbers but hardly what Fantasy owners were hoping for before the new year. Teague finished the season 15th in Fantasy scoring among guards, and should be considered at least a top 20 option for next season. However, he plays the deepest position in the game, so you can afford to wait a few rounds before looking Teague's way on Draft Day.
