Teague has mediocre night: Hawks guard Jeff Teague played through his wrist issue on Friday versus the Magic. He didn't post great numbers though as he had a tough time to get something going. Teague scored 13 points and dished out two assists in his 39 minutes of action. He shot well, going 6 for 11 from the field, for the Hawks as they pulled off the 89-87 victory in overtime. Teague added three steals in the outing. (Updated 02/10/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
teague tweaked his wrist while breaking his fall during Wednesday's game, and it definitely seemed to affect his ability to run the point. While he still shot a good percentage from the field, he didn't contribute in the rest of the categories for Fantasy owners. Keep an eye on him to make sure this wrist issue doesn't turn into a bigger deal. Until he shows us he's actually 100 percent, Teague is more of a low-end starting guard option in most Fantasy leagues. (Updated 02/10/2012).

After another disappointing regular season, Teague may have finally had his coming out party during last year's playoffs. While he started just seven games during the regular season, the 23-year-old was forced into the starting lineup in the Eastern Conference Finals and stepped up his production big time. Teague went head-to-head with MVP Derrick Rose and averaged 14.8 points, 4.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds during the six-game series against the Bulls. More importantly, he seemed to have finally earned some of coach Larry Drew's trust after being criticized numerous times by his head coach throughout the regular season. With Mike Bibby gone, Teague will now compete for minutes with Kirk Hinrich in 2011-12. However, even if he doesn't end up starting, Teaguer should see a significant increase in playing time. That should translate into more production, which could make him somewhat of a sleeper pick on Draft Day. Teague still has plenty of upside, so owners brave enough should feel free to spend a late-round pick on the third-year guard. (Updated 8/23/11)
