Teague goes off on Pistons : Hawks guard Jeff Teague tied a career high with 24 points and had a season-high 11 assists during Friday night's contest against the Pistons. Teague scored 17 in the first half, including a layup at the buzzer in which he blew by Rodney Stuckey and Brandon Knight for a layup with just 3.4 seconds left on the buzzer. He made nine of his 16 shot attempts and also added two steals and a block to his stat line. "Guys have to focus so much on Joe [Johnson] and Josh [Smith]," Teague said. "It gives me an opportunity to penetrate and things like that, so it was just a good game overall." (Updated 04/07/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Teague continues to enjoy his best season as a pro and has been playing especially well over his past few games. The 23-year-old has now scored 17 and 24 points in back-to-back outings and is averaging 14.6 points and 7.2 assists over his last five. While Johnson and Smith normally do all the scoring, Teague's production this season has been good enough to consider him a viable No. 2 Fantasy guard in most leagues. (Updated 04/07/2012).
05/11/2012 02:41 Hawks-Celtics Game 6: Hawks continue their stay in purgatory
The Atlanta Hawks lost Game 6 Thursday to the Celtics. Where will they go from here? Never improving, never declining, the Hawks will likely remain an Eastern Conference prop stuck in purgatory.

Al Horford scored 19 points in his first start since January, and the Atlanta Hawks held on for an 87-86 victory over the Boston Celtics in a thrilling Game 5 of the Eastern Conference playoffs Tuesday night.
05/05/2012 01:19 Shaky Celtics pull out win in Game 3, but know they must improve
With Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen back, and the Hawks' Josh Smith out, the Celtics squeak out an OT win for a 2-1 series lead. They'll take it, but Jeff Goodman says they won't get far playing like this.
After another disappointing regular season, Teague may have finally had his coming out party during last year's playoffs. While he started just seven games during the regular season, the 23-year-old was forced into the starting lineup in the Eastern Conference Finals and stepped up his production big time. Teague went head-to-head with MVP Derrick Rose and averaged 14.8 points, 4.1 assists and 2.8 rebounds during the six-game series against the Bulls. More importantly, he seemed to have finally earned some of coach Larry Drew's trust after being criticized numerous times by his head coach throughout the regular season. With Mike Bibby gone, Teague will now compete for minutes with Kirk Hinrich in 2011-12. However, even if he doesn't end up starting, Teaguer should see a significant increase in playing time. That should translate into more production, which could make him somewhat of a sleeper pick on Draft Day. Teague still has plenty of upside, so owners brave enough should feel free to spend a late-round pick on the third-year guard. (Updated 8/23/11)
