Casspi finally cleared : Cavaliers forward Omri Casspi was finally cleared by team doctors to play in game action, reports the Cleveland Plain Dealer . Casspi has been sidelined since Feb. 23 after undergoing an appendectomy. He did not see minutes in Tuesday's game.

| Fantasy Analysis |
While it appears Casspi may have finally been cleared to play, don't expect him to see a ton of time on the court. The 24-year-old was averaging just 11 minutes per game prior to his injury and that is unlikely to change moving forward. Casspi can be ignored in the majority of formats whether he is healthy or not.

| Omri Casspi had a poor shooting year in his first for the Cavaliers after coming over from Sacramento. Cleveland gave him 35 starts but Casspi could never turn it into consistent production as he averaged a career-low 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting just 40 percent and hitting fewer than a 3-pointer per game. Casspi's numbers may rise in 2012-13, but we doubt it will be enough to make him a viable Fantasy option outside the deepest of formats. (Updated 8/22/12) |
