Maynor still seeing minutes: Trail Blazers point guard Eric Maynor continued to see a decent role Thursday against the Bulls, as he played 24 minutes off the bench. Maynor score eight points on 4 of 9 shooting, and added two assists, in a 99-89 victory.

| Fantasy Analysis |
Maynor has enjoyed a larger role with the Blazers, after a deadline-day trade. The Blazers are trying to figure out if they want to bring Maynor back into the fold this offseason as a restricted free agent, so he should continue to see minutes off the bench. He is averaging 8.3 points and 2.8 assists per game over the last 10 games and remains a low-end Fantasy option.

| Eric Maynor's season was limited to just eight games last year after he tore the ACL in his right knee in January. However, Maynor is expected to be ready for the start of the training camp next fall as he already has been working out with the Thunder's Summer League team. Still, Maynor is a classic example of a player who is considered way more valuable to his team than for Fantasy owners. Maynor has never averaged more than 4.2 points or 3.3 assists per game and will once again serve as Russell Westbrook's primary backup. The 25-year-old should not be targeted in the majority of formats on Draft Day next fall. (Updated 8/22/12) |
