(2/20/14) The Wizards have agreed to send guard Eric Maynor to Philadelphia and forward Jan Vesely to Denver in exchange for veteran point man Andre Miller, Yahoo Sports reports. Philadelphia will also receive two second-round picks from Washington in the deal.
The 36-year-old Miller was excused from all Nuggets team activities earlier in the year after a disagreement between him and coach Brian Shaw led to a suspension in early January. The Wizards have expressed interest in Miller since that point, having been disappointed with the play of backup point guard Eric Maynor.

(2/11/14) Wizards guard Eric Maynor is completely out of the rotation at this point, as he earned yet another DNP Coach's Decision Tuesday against the Grizzlies. Maynor has not appeared in the team's last seven games, and has played just twice since Jan. 1.
|Eric Maynor held scoreless vs. Thunder |
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(11/10/13) Wizards guard Eric Maynor was held scoreless for the first time this season Sunday, missing a three-point attempt that doubled as his only shot in 13 minutes of action in his team's overtime loss to the Thunder.
Maynor has logged between nine and 14 minutes in each of his team's first six games while making a minimal impact on the scoreboard, putting up between three and five points per game before Sunday's goose egg. He recorded two rebounds, two assists and one steal against the Thunder in the loss.
|Eric Maynor spent the 2012-13 season with the Trail Blazers and Thunder, after recovering from knee surgery. He scored in double figures just twice in 37 games with the Thunder, but got better as the season went on, reaching that total eight times in 27 games with the Blazers. He averaged 4.5 points and 2.8 assists per game overall, but was much better with Portland.. The 26-year-old showed flashes of potential, averaging 6.9 points and four assists while logging 21.2 minutes per game in 27 games with the Trail Blazers. Maynor will be a solid backup option for John Wall for the Wizards and could see a similar role as he filled in Portland. That said, Fantasy owners should still ignore him in most formats on Draft Day.
