Fantasy Analysis
Rubio is struggling to knock down shots right now as he is shooting just 31 percent from the field over his last five games. He is shooting just nine percent from behind the arc over that same stretch, although is still averaging 9.0 points to go along with 8.4 assists and 3.2 steals. Despite his shooting struggles, Rubio production in other areas of the box score has helped make up for his inconsistent scoring. Leave the 21-year-old active in the majority of formats heading into Fantasy Week 8 (Feb. 13-19). (Updated 02/11/2012).

02/02/2012 10:14 Courtside Seat: Do the Knicks have a point?
The Knicks back court has been inconsistent so far and with Baron Davis close to returning, the picture is murky. Our Jamey Eisenberg breaks down the Knicks going forward and much more from his Courtside Seat.
After spending the last four seasons playing in Europe, Ricky Rubio, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, agreed to come to the United States this past offseason and will compete with Luke Ridnour for the starting point job in Minnesota. While he averaged just 6.5 points and 3.5 assists in 20 games with Regal Barcelona a year ago, many believe the Spaniard has the ability to be a Steve Nash-like point guard. He will be surrounded by a bunch of players that can score and should be able to facilitate the offense with his slick passing and court vision. Rubio comes to the NBA with plenty of hype and has the potential to be a sleeper in deeper leagues. Plan on drafting Rubio with a late-round pick in all formats, and in dynasty and keeper leagues he should be taken with a mid-round pick. (Updated 8/29/11)
