Wizards guard Garrett Temple confident in long-range shot
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(11/5/14) Wizards guard Garrett Temple is showing improvement as he racks up more playing time in place of injured guard Bradley Beal, who remains sidelined coming off mid-October wrist surgery. Temple had a career-high 18 points Saturday against the Bucks and added 17 points in Tuesday's win against the Knicks.
Temple went 4 of 7 from 3-point range Tuesday. He is shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 50 percent from 3-point range (10 of 20) through four games.
"I get a lot corner threes because our offense permits that," Temple said, per The Washington Post. "But I feel comfortable shooting the three anywhere and, obviously, shooting the mid-range. … Just being confident. My teammates keep telling me to shoot it. Again, Beal was on the sideline mad because I passed up a few shots so I got to shoot a little more I guess. Just staying confident, trusting my shot, and trusting the work I put in."
