|Rockets cut Reggie Williams |

(10/28/13) The Rockets have waived guard Reggie Williams, the Houston Chronicle reports. He was the team's final cut. Williams should find a roster spot with another organization before long.
|Williams seeing run at the point |
|by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com|
(3/11/13) With Ramon Sessions expected to miss the next 2 to 4 weeks, Bobcats guard Reggie Williams is expected to see some run as the team's backup point guard. Williams has only appeared in 10 of Charlotte's last 32 games, but is now expected to see around 10-15 minutes a game behind Kemba Walker. Right now, me coming in and running the offense is more important than me scoring, particularly if Im on the court with Ben Gordon, the second units primary scorer, Williams told the Charlotte Observer. Get him going, get him in his rhythm.
|For a few months in 2009-10, Reggie Williams looked like someone Fantasy owners might want to keep an eye on, however he has spent the last three years failing to live up to the promise he showed with the Warriors. Williams averaged just 3.7 points per game for the Bobcats last season, while appearing in just 40 games. He has a chance to fit in well with the Rockets as a floor-spacer off the bench, but he won't see much playing time if he can't improve on his 30.7 percent three-point percentage over the last two seasons. Williams could bounce back and emerge as a fine role player this season, but there is little reason to think he is worth a look on Draft Day.
