(2/20/14) The Wizards have agreed to send guard Eric Maynor to Philadelphia and forward Jan Vesely to Denver in exchange for veteran point man Andre Miller, Yahoo Sports reports. Philadelphia will also receive two second-round picks from Washington in the deal.
The 36-year-old Miller was excused from all Nuggets team activities earlier in the year after a disagreement between him and coach Brian Shaw led to a suspension in early January. The Wizards have expressed interest in Miller since that point, having been disappointed with the play of backup point guard Eric Maynor.
|Jan Vesely still making little impact |

(2/11/14) Wizards forward Jan Vesely continues to see little time, as he played just four minutes in a 92-89 loss to the Grizzlies Tuesday. Vesely made almost no impact in that time, as he was held scoreless and added just one block in the loss.
Vesely has struggled to find consistent playing time yet again in his third NBA season, having appeared in just 30 of the team's first 52 games. He is averaging 3.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

(1/7/14) Wizards forward Jan Vesely continues to do little for the Wizards off the bench, as he scored just six points in 21 minutes off the bench Tuesday against the Bobcats. He did add six rebounds, three blocks and three steals in the 97-83 win.
Vesely has appeared in 23 games, but is averaging just 3.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.

(12/14/13) Wizards forward Jan Vesely was barely a factor offensively during Saturday's loss to the Clippers.
Vesely went 2 of 3 shooting from the field and missed all two of his free throw attempts. He finished the game with four points, three rebounds and two steals while logging 12 minutes of game action off the bench.
Vesely has not scored more than eight points in a game this season. He is averaging 3.6 points and 3.6 rebounds over his last five games played.

(11/6/13) Wizards forward Jan Vesely remains out of the rotation for coach Randy Wittman's club at the moment, The Washington Post reports. The coach says Vesely may soon join the rotation, however, should things not go well for the team.
"It could be [Wednesday], it could be down the road, but it’s going to come," said Wittman.
Vesely has a personal trainer from the Czech Republic following him around this season in an effort to continue bulking up. He's hoping to prove he belongs in the NBA.
|After being selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Jan Vesely was confined to the bench until mid-January because of a troublesome hip injury. Perhaps he should have stayed sidelined until April. The 6-foot-11 Czech Republic native shrugged off a painstakingly slow start to his rookie season before flashing his immense potential in the final month. Veseley poured in 8.5 points and grabbed 7.0 rebounds per game in April, highlighted by his only two double-doubles of the season. He is still just 22 years old, and could be a big part of the Wizards' plans this season. Don't forget about him as a decent big man for your bench toward the end of larger Fantasy drafts in 2012-13.
