|Al-Farouq Aminu to see more minutes |

(10/30/13) Pelicans coach Monty Williams said Wednesday that forward Al-Farouq Aminu could see more minutes at power forward with Ryan Anderson out injured, the team's official site reports.
Aminu is one of the better rebounding small forwards in the NBA and the Pelicans will ask him to play a bigger role with Anderson out. That said, Aminu is also an offensive liability.

Pelicans hold off Pistons, 111-106 in OT
NEW ORLEANS (AP) It's a good thing for the New Orleans Pelicans that Ryan Anderson doesn't let an off night stop him from unleashing long-range shots with the game on the line.
|Al-Farouq Aminu has been a consistent disappointment ever since the Clippers took him with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2010 draft, but he seemed to find something of a niche for himself last season. Aminu crashed the boards with abandon in 2012-13,and made himself someone worth keeping an eye on on the waiver wires. Aminu averaged 7.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, both of which represented new career highs. The Pelicans brought Aminu back as a free agent, presumably to start at small forward yet again, but Fantasy owners should expect more of the same from the 23-year-old. In deeper, category-based Fantasy formats, Aminu is worth a late-round selection on Draft Day.
