Doctor: Paul George's injury could need 12-18 months to heal
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(8/2/14) Pacers forward Paul George will spend the next three days in a Las Vegas hospital following successful surgery to repair his broken right leg Friday.

George suffered an open tibula-fibula fracture during a scrimmage for Team USA Friday, and at this point the Pacers have no expected timetable for George's possible recovery. However, Dr. Patrick Kersey, who treated Louisville guard Kevin Ware following a similar injury, told NBA.com George could need 12-18 months to fully heal.

George's 2014-15 season is in doubt following this injury, though Ware was back on the floor less than eight months following his injury. The Pacers will likely begin carving out a recovery schedule in the coming months.

Paul George suffers gruesome leg injury in Team USA scrimmage
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/1/14) Pacers forward Paul George suffered a gruesome right leg injury while playing for Team USA during showcase scrimmage in Las Vegas on Friday.

George sustained the injury while contesting a layup from James Harden. He banged his right leg against the basket stanchion, likely suffering a horrific fracture. He was immediately attended by a medical staff and had a splint placed on his leg before he was stretchered off the court. The game was called after the incident.

George had a breakout season for the Pacers in 2013-14, averaging 21.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.9 steals in 80 games. He will likely miss a significant period of time moving forward.
Paul George saves Pacers season with 37-point effort
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5/29/14) Pacers forward Paul George refused to let his team's season end, as he nearly matched a career playoff high in scoring in a 93-90 win over the Heat Wednesday.

Down 3-1 in the series heading into Game 5, George took over for the Pacers. He scored 37 points, with much of the damage coming in a 20-point fourth quarter. He shot 15 of 28 from the field and 5 for 14 from three-point ranger, while adding six rebounds, two assists and six steals in the win.

Coming off a breakout season, George has maintained his strong production in the post season. He is averaging 22.3 points, 4.0 assists and 7.6 rebounds per game in 18 postseason performances heading into Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finales.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(5/24/14) Pacers guard Paul George had a hard time finding his shot from behind the arc, knocking down just one 3-pointer in his first game back from a concussion Saturday night in Miami.

George scored 17 points on 5 of 13 from the floor, including 1 of 6 from downtown, and 6 of 10 from the free throw line in a 99-87 Game 3 defeat. He also chipped in with four assists, two rebounds and one steal while logging 32 minutes of game action. George is averaging 16.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists over his last five postseason games.
Paul George cleared to play in Game 3
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(5/24/14) Pacers guard Paul George has been cleared, and is expected to play without restrictions in Game 3 against the Heat Saturday.

George suffered a concussion late in Game 2 after he was kneed in the head accidentally by Dwyane Wade, but made it through the league-mandated concussion protocol before being cleared to play.
