Double-double in tough shooting night for Wizards' John Wall
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(2/27/15) Wizards PG John Wall had his third double-double in four games on Friday, but the accomplishment was bittersweet.
While Wall recorded 21 points and 11 assists, it wasn't enough, as the Wizards dropped an 89-81 decision to the 76ers. It was the sixth straight defeat for the Wizards, and Wall continued to struggle with his shot.
Wall hit just seven of his 26 shots and is just 22-of-70 in the last four games. He missed both of his 3-pointers. He's now hit just one of his last 12 from long-range, and two of his last 18.
''Everybody can say we're not making shots," Wall said. "That's not the key to losing games. We won games earlier in the season not making shots. It's a time where everybody has to play better.''
Wall also got called for a Flagrant 1 foul in the fourth quarter.
The Wizards host the Pistons in their next game, Saturday night.

Wizards' John Wall dealing with sprained ankle
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(2/10/15) Wizards guard John Wall told reporters Tuesday that he reinjured his sprained ankle during Monday's win over the Magic, reports CSNWashington.com.
Despite suffering the injury, Wall was just one point shy recording a triple-double Monday. He added that he feels OK.
|Statistically, it wasn't a big jump, but John Wall took his game to the next level last season for the Wizards. He averaged career-highs in points (19.3 per game) and assists (8.8) and finally emerged as a credible threat from long range, as he drained a career-high 108 3-pointers in 82 games. Wall finished second among all guards in Fantasy scoring, and his emergence as a reliable shooter also places him squarely among the handful of best options in Rotisserie leagues as well. Wall plays a deep position, but should still be off the board by the end of the first round in the vast majority of Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
