Heat rule Whiteside, Andersen out Sunday; Wade questionable
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(4:29 pm ET) The Heat will be without centers Hassan Whiteside and Chris Andersen for Sunday's game against the Pistons, reports the Palm Beach Post.
Whiteside is dealing with a cut on his hand, which has caused him to miss the last two games, while Andersen will also miss his third-straight game Sunday with a calf injury. Forwards Udonis Haslem and Michael Beasley are expected to receive more playing time with Whiteside and Andersen out.
Meanwhile, guard Dwyane Wade (knee) is considered a game-time decision. Wade recently had fluid drained from his knee Saturday and he will test it out before making a decision on his playing status, reports the Sun Sentinel.
The Heat are 3-point favorites.

Whiteside (11.0 points, 9.8 rebounds per game) cut his hand in Monday’s loss in Milwaukee.

Bob Cousy: Heat's Hassan Whiteside plays like Bill Russell
|by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com|
|(3/26/15) Former NBA star Bob Cousy is a big believer in Heat center Hassan Whiteside.
In an interview with The Telegram, Cousy compared Whiteside, who's averaging 11.0 points and 9.8 rebound per game, to legendary Celtics center Bill Russell.
"I have never said this in the 40 years since I retired," Cousy said, "but he is the first big guy, not (Patrick) Ewing, (Hakeem) Olajuwon, Shaq (O'Neal), who reminds me defensively and on the boards of Russell. He runs the floor well, he has excellent timing, he blocks shots and keeps them in play the way Russell did."
Whiteside earned more playing time in January and has been a pleasant surprise for the Heat. He's also averaging 2 1/2 blocks per game.
"That's a great honor," Whiteside said, when told of the Russell comparison. "Everybody knows that Bill Russell is probably one of the best shot blockers that ever lived. That's really a big honor that he thinks of me that way."
