Lakers think Jeremy Lin will play Wednesday
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(3/31/15) Lakers coach Byron Scott said he thinks Jeremy Lin will return to the court for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
Lin has missed the last two games with an upper respiratory infection.
"I don’t think it’s serious. I think he’s just drained," Scott said, per the Los Angeles Daily News. "He played a couple of games he probably shouldn’t have played. But he wanted to give it a go."

Lakers rule Jeremy Lin (illness) out of Sunday's game

|(3/29/15) Lakers guard Jeremy Lin is dealing with an upper respiratory infection and has been ruled out of Sunday's game at Brooklyn, reports the team's official website.
Despite the illness, Lin was expected to play Sunday. Guard Wayne Ellington will start in place of Lin, while guard Jordan Clarkson should see his minutes increase with Lin out.
The Lakers are 7 1/2-point underdogs.
Lakers G Jeremy Lin (sinus issues) believes he'll play Sunday
|(3/28/15) Lakers guard Jeremy Lin has been taking antibiotics and pain killers to treat issues with a sinus but says he should be ready to go Sunday in Brooklyn, according to the L.A. Daily News.
Lin completed all of Saturday’s practice and afterwards seemed confident that he'd be healthy enough to play on Sunday.
“Yeah,” Lin said. "Unless it gets worse.”
|Last season in Houston, he was one of the better backup point guards for Fantasy, but this year Jeremy Lin will get the chance to shine again as a starter for the Lakers. You probably shouldn't expect Linsanity Part II considering he'll have Kobe Bryant and Julius Randle to share with, but he'll probably come pretty close to the 18.2 points and 7.7 assists he averaged as a starter during that magical 25-game run in New York. The way he navigates driving lanes will likely work well with Randle's bowling-ball-esque post game, so many of Lin's assists will probably come from a two-man game with the Lakers' first round big man. Los Angeles waived Kendall Marshall, and the only other point guard on the roster is Steve Nash, who only appeared in 15 games last season. You can probably wait to draft Lin after point guards like Brandon Jennings and Jrue Holiday, but because the Lakers lack playmakers, Lin could easily match or even exceed their production. Getting Lin in the middle rounds will probably look like a steal by year's end.
