Injury clearly bothers Lin in finale: Rockets guard Jeremy Lin was able to play in Game 6 against the Thunder, after missing the team's previous two games due to a chest injury. Unfortunately, the injury was clearly still bothering him, as he was able to score just three points on 1 of 4 shooting in 13 minutes off the bench. The Rockets lost the game, 103-94, ending their season. This injury is not expected to linger into the offseason. (Updated 5/4/13) |

Lin made it through the regular season without missing a game, before this injury essentially finished his season three games early. The 24-year-old averaged 13.4 points and 6.1 assists on 44.1 percent shooting from the field during his first year in Houston, which isn't too shabby considering he had to learn to play off the ball more once the team acquired James Harden. We would expect Lin to be a bit more comfortable in his roll within coach Kevin McHale's offense during his second year in Houston, so owners should plan on targeting him in the middle rounds of most draft formats next fall. (Updated 5/4/13). |
| Jeremy Lin's 2011-12 season was quite literally meteoric, as he shone brightly for a brief time before knee surgery brought his season crashing down. Lin was a perfect fit for Mike D'Antoni's point-guard heavy offense, but now he is working with an entirely new coaching staff after signing a three-year, $25 million deal with Houston. He is going to be a risk no matter where he is selected, as Fantasy owners really only have 25 games of solid production to project on. Those 25 games were incredible, though, as he averaged 18.2 points and 7.7 assists as a starter. Heading into the season, Fantasy owners will need to be careful not to overvalue Lin, however it will be hard to ignore him in the draft, as the potential for reward is incredible.
