PG Jeremy Lin not ruling out sticking with Lakers
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(4/14/15) Veteran guard Jeremy Lin expressed a desire to return to the Lakers on Tuesday after meeting with general manager Mitch Kupchak and coach Byron Scott.
"Yeah, that would be great," Lin told the Los Angeles Times. "There's so much that needs to happen, but that's definitely an option for me."
Lin, whose season ended a week ago after he sustained a knee injury, said he was upset at first when Scott removed him from the starting lineup, but added that his outlook has changed. He finished his season averaging 11.2 points and 4.6 assists in 74 games, including 44 off the bench.
"I think we made a lot of progress," he said. "I feel like they learned a lot about me and we were able to grow and improve."
Lin is slated for free agency in the offseason after earning $14.9 million this year.

|(4/14/15) Lakers guard Jeremy Lin can become a free agent after the season and said he's keeping an open mind in terms of returning to the Lakers, the team announced.
Lin said he wants to play for a team where he knows he would fit into the team's system, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.
"The biggest thing for me is to make a good decision on where I want to be and where would fit well for me," he said.
Lin is currently dealing with a knee issue, which ended his season prematurely. He said he won't need a procedure on the knee and he has been able to start running and cutting on the knee.
"It feels great," he said. "We got all the swelling out."

No practice for Lakers G Jeremy Lin (knee), Sunday still questionable
|by Ted Leshinski | Staff Writer|
|(4/11/15) Lakers guard Jeremy Lin (knee) did not practice Saturday and his status for Sunday's game against the Mavericks remains questionable, reports the Los Angeles Daily News.|
Lin, who's missed the Lakers' last two games, recently had an MRI that revealed no new damage to the knee.
The Lakers are 7.5-point underdogs against the Mavs.
|Last season in Houston, he was one of the better backup point guards for Fantasy, but this year Jeremy Lin will get the chance to shine again as a starter for the Lakers. You probably shouldn't expect Linsanity Part II considering he'll have Kobe Bryant and Julius Randle to share with, but he'll probably come pretty close to the 18.2 points and 7.7 assists he averaged as a starter during that magical 25-game run in New York. The way he navigates driving lanes will likely work well with Randle's bowling-ball-esque post game, so many of Lin's assists will probably come from a two-man game with the Lakers' first round big man. Los Angeles waived Kendall Marshall, and the only other point guard on the roster is Steve Nash, who only appeared in 15 games last season. You can probably wait to draft Lin after point guards like Brandon Jennings and Jrue Holiday, but because the Lakers lack playmakers, Lin could easily match or even exceed their production. Getting Lin in the middle rounds will probably look like a steal by year's end.
