Fantasy Analysis
Crawford has been dealing with some issues in his knee recently, so it is not much of a surprise to see him taking some time off. With the season essentially over and Crawford already expressing his intention to opt-out of his player option at the end of the year, Fantasy owners could see Crawford's minutes reduce. However, he has been playing well recently, averaging 16.3 points per game in April, so continue to view him as a solid low-end starting option, but keep an eye on his minutes. (Updated 04/15/2012).

04/04/2012 16:05 Postups: Free-agent class of 2012 looking bare after Williams
It's not the Summer of Dwight we once expected. Instead, Deron Williams stands as the only player worthy of a max deal. Ken Berger says whether he stays with the Nets or leaves will alter the landscape of free agency.
Veteran G Jamal Crawford saw a huge drop in production during his second year in Atlanta last season. Crawford averaged just 14.2 points, 3.2 assists and 1.7 rebounds, but still managed to ink a two-year deal with Portland in the offseason. He struggled shooting the ball last season, especially from behind the arc, as his 34.1 shooting percentage from downtown was his lowest mark since 2006-07. However, the 31-year-old should bounce back with the Blazers as he earns plenty of minutes with his new team. He's one of the few perimeter scoring options for Portland and should see roughly 15-plus shots a night. Despite his down campaign, Crawford should be viewed as a premium source for 3-point shooting and scoring, making him worthy of a mid-round pick in 2011-12 Fantasy drafts. (Updated 12/16/11)
