Harkless plays on for Magic : Magic forward Maurice Harkless (right knee soreness) was able keep himself in the lineup for Sunday's contest against the Cavaliers. Harkless, who was forced to leave Orlando's loss to the Bulls after feeling some discomfort in his knee, finished with seven points in the 91-85 defeat. He went 3 of 12 from the field and also added four rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block to his stat line, while logging 39 minutes. (Updated 4/7/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Harkless was able to play through his injury, which is great news for Fantasy owners who are playing in leagues that go through Fantasy Week 24 (April 8-14). The rookie has gotten a chance to show what he can bring to the table with all of the injuries the Magic have had to deal with and he hasn't disappointed. In fact, the 19-year-old was averaging 17.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks over his previous 10 tilts on 45 percent shooting from the field. Consider Harkless a viable start in all formats during the final scoring period of the season. (Updated 4/7/13). |
| Moe Harkless was the third and final player to shipped to Orlando from the 76ers as part of the Dwight Howard mega deal, but could be the one who benefits the most from a change of address. When the Sixers took Harkless with the 15th pick in the draft, it was hard to see where he would fit in as Philadelphia was a bit heavy at the forward position. However, with the Magic appearing to be in full-rebuilding mode and 33-year-old Hedo Turkoglu in front of him, Harkless could be in contention see serious minutes as small forward right away. The 19-year-old averaged 15.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while shooting 45 percent from the field in his lone year at St. Johns University. However, because he is still a bit unproven, and not guaranteed to see immediate playing time, owners should consider Harkess more of a long-term keeper option heading into the season. Only owners in deeper formats should consider taking a late-round flier in him. (Updated 8/22/12) |
