Jones is riding the D-League shuttle back and forth from the NBA. Until he sees a full-time job, however, he'll have little Fantasy value. (Updated 3/25/13). |
| Perry Jones was selected with the 28th pick in the NBA Draft last summer and could end having a big impact for Oklahoma City this season. The 20-year-old literarily fell into the Thunder's lap as most expected him to be long gone by the time he was selected after averaging 13.5 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists, while helping Baylor advance to the Elite Eight during his sophomore season. While he is currently listed as a small forward, the Thunder are already considering Jones a possible replacement for Serge Ibaka, who will be a restricted free agent next summer. He will likely be used at both power spots during various times throughout the season but figures to be part of Scott Brooks' rotation right out of the gate. However, there are some concerns about some lingering knee issues and Jones is still considered very raw at this point in his career. Still, owners in deeper formats may want to take a late-round filer on Jones next fall. (Updated 8/22/12) |
