Kidd-Gilchrist has been sidelined since suffering a foot injury Nov. 14. He is expected to come off the bench for the Hornets.

|(12/9/14) Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist was able to practice Tuesday, but it is unknown whether he will be able to suit up Wednesday against the Celtics.
Kidd-Gilchrist has been out since Nov. 14 with a foot injury. He is averaging 9.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game this year.
Hornets' Michael-Kidd Gilchrist out at least one more week

|(12/3/14) Hornets coach Steve Clifford said Wednesday that small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will not return to action until at least Dec. 10 against the Celtics, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Kidd-Gilchrist will miss home games Wednesday and Friday against the Bulls and Knicks, respectively, before potentially returning next Wedensday. He's been limited to just six games this season due to a stress reaction in his foot, with his last action coming Nov. 11.
Kemba Walker joins list of injured Hornets players
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(11/27/14) Although Hornets guard Kemba Walker was able to play through injury Wednesday against the Trail Blazers, it doesn't appear he will be active Friday against the Warriors. The Hornets announced Thursday that Walker is doubtful to play Friday because of a right thigh contusion.
The Hornets also listed guard P.J. Hairston as questionable due to a sprained right thumb, guard Gary Neal as doubtful due to a left shoulder sprain, forward Marvin Williams as doubtful with a left shoulder strain and forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist as out due to a stress reaction in his right foot.
|Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has struggled to live up to expectations since he was the No. 2 overall pick two years ago by the then-Bobcats. He took a step back in his second season, averaging 7.2 points and 5.2 rebounds, while missing 20 games due to a broken hand. He has proven to be even rawer than expected as an offensive player through two seasons, having made just three 3-pointers in 140 games so far. He should remain in the starting lineup for the Hornets this season, but his offensive limitations will keep him buried in the offensive hierarchy. At just 21 years old, Kidd-Gilchrist still has considerable upside, but he is probably best left untouched on Draft Day at this point.
