Raptors' Terrence Ross has ankle surgery
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(5/23/15) Raptors guard/forward Terrence Ross had ankle surgery on Friday to remove bone spurs and loose bodies, the team announced on Saturday.
Ross had the procedure in Van Nuys, California and will rehab in Toronto. No timetable has been released.
Ross averaged 9.8 points this season.
Raptors GM: Valanciunas, Ross key to team's future
|(4/29/15) Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri offered a vote of confidence toward a couple of the team's young players on Tuesday, center Jonas Valanciunas and forward Terrence Ross.|
“We love their upside,” Ujiri said, per the Toronto Sun. “Everybody says, ‘When is Terrence going to get to the line, when is Terrence …?” Well, you know what, Terrence is a great shooter. He fell back on defense a little bit, but we felt that he started getting it back together. And then Jonas started, I think, protecting the rim a little bit better and rebounding a little bit better, especially defensively, so there’s upside, it takes a while, you guys know me, there’s no knee-jerk reaction here, we’re going to be patient. I think that’s going to be our nature of building here.”
In 2014-15, Ross averaged 9.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.8 field goals per game. Valanciunas totaled 693 rebounds and shot 57.2 percent from the field, which ranked second in the league.

Raptors' Terrence Ross leaves game with back spasms, does not return
|by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com|
|(3/16/15) Raptors forward Terrence Ross left Monday's game against the Pacers with back spasms and was unable to return, reports the Indianapolis Star.
Ross left the game late in the third quarter with the injury and never returned to the court. He finished with nine points on 3 of 6 shooting from the field, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range.
|It took a blockbuster trade to open up room for him, but Terrence Ross emerged as a consistent contributor for the Raptors in his second season. Ross averaged 10.4 points per game in 81 appearances, and was able to increase than number to 12.2 in 62 games as a starter after Rudy Gay was traded to the Kings. Ross averaged 2.0 3-pointers per game while connecting on 39.5 percent of his attempts, but did little else to stand out, averaging just 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game overall. Though he is young and has some room to grow, the Raptors have a pretty set hierarchy right now, so it might be more of the same for Ross next season. Consider him worthy of just a late-round flier in the majority of Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
