Terrence Ross scores 18 off bench for Raptors
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(2/27/15) Terrence Ross came off the bench to score 18 points in one of the few bright spots for the Raptors, Friday. The Warriors pounded the Raptors 113-89.
''There's no excuse for that type of performance,'' coach Dwane Casey said.
Ross hit seven-of-14 from the field and three-for-eight from long range.
The Raptors next play at the Knicks on Saturday night.
|It took a blockbuster trade to open up room for him, but Terrence Ross emerged as a consistent contributor for the Raptors in his second season. Ross averaged 10.4 points per game in 81 appearances, and was able to increase than number to 12.2 in 62 games as a starter after Rudy Gay was traded to the Kings. Ross averaged 2.0 3-pointers per game while connecting on 39.5 percent of his attempts, but did little else to stand out, averaging just 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game overall. Though he is young and has some room to grow, the Raptors have a pretty set hierarchy right now, so it might be more of the same for Ross next season. Consider him worthy of just a late-round flier in the majority of Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
