|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(6/29/15) Rashard Lewis plans to return to the NBA in 2015-16, after missing all of last season following knee surgery.
The 35-year-old Lewis last played for Miami in 2013-14. He was cut by Dallas in training camp last season after failing a physical due to the knee injury.
Lewis' agents, Tony Dutt and Colin Bryant, said that he hopes to return, per Yahoo.

|(7/25/14) The Mavericks voided forward Rashard Lewis's contract Thursday, after he failed a physical due to an issue with his right knee.
At this point, it is not clear how serious the injury is, but Lewis will require surgery, the team announced. The 34-year-old was expected to sign a one-year deal with the Mavericks, but his next move is not yet known.

Rashard Lewis held scoreless again off bench
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
|(1/24/14) Heat forward Rashard Lewis is stuck in a bit of a slump, and has seen his playing time as a result. He played just 11 minutes off the bench Thursday in a 109-102 win over the Lakers.
Lewis was held scoreless in his 11 minutes of action, the second time that has happened in his last three games. He missed both of his field-goal attempts in the game, and added just two rebounds and one block in the loss.
Lewis has scored in double figures six times in 41 games this season, and is averaging just 4.7 points per game, his lowest total since his rookie season in 1998-99.
Rashard Lewis scores 12 in losing effort

|(1/10/14) Heat forward Rashard Lewis enjoyed a solid performance as he knocked down a pair of treys in his team's 104-95 double overtime loss to the Nets in Brooklyn Friday night.|
Lewis went 5 of 9 shooting from the field, including 2 of 4 from 3-point land. Both of his triple came from the right corner in the second quarter. He finished the game with 12 points, one rebound, one assist and two steals while logging 29 minutes of game action in a 104-95 defeat.
Lewis has scored in double figures in two of his last five games. He has averaged 8.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists over that span.
|Rashard Lewis emerged as the answer to the Heat's search for a stretch power forward last postseason, after spending two seasons languishing on the bench. The former All-Star averaged 9.3 points per game after entering the starting lineup for the final eight games of the playoffs, though still averaged 5.3 points in 18 total playoff appearances. He had signed a contract with Dallas during the offseason, but it was voided in late July when it was announced he would need knee surgery. The 35-year-old could catch on as a minimum-salary addition to some team's bench this offseason based on his late shooting resurgence, but we'll see what the injury situation turns out to be down the road. He is unlikely to be worth a look in any Fantasy league on Draft Day.
