|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(2/6/15) Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said that guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is "good to go" and will be in the starting lineup for Friday night's clash against the Nuggets, according to the team's official website and the Oakland Press. Caldwell-Pope left Wednesday night's loss against the Pacers due to a sore Achilles tendon. He is averaging 11.9 points and 3.1 rebounds through 50 games.
Detroit is a 6 1/2-point home favorite against Boston.
Pistons' Van Gundy hopes Caldwell-Pope's injury is 'short-term'
|by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com|
|(2/5/15) Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy is hopeful that guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's ankle injury won't be anything that lingers for a while. Caldwell-Pope left Wednesday night's loss against the Pacers due to a sore Achilles tendon.
"Hopefully, it's a short-term thing, because we need him," Van Gundy said, via the Detroit Free Press. "Nothing you want to fool around with."
Caldwell-Pope said the injury occurred the game before and that he exited Wednesday's game since he didn't feel 100 percent on the court.
"I wanted to come back, but just to be on the safe side, I just sat the game out," Caldwell-Pope said. "I didn't want to keep injuring it. It's not going to be long. Do treatments [Thursday] and see how it feels Friday."

|(2/4/15) Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was forced to leave Wednesday’s game against the Pacers with a sore right Achilles and he will not return, the team announced.
Caldwell-Pope played three minutes before exiting with the issue and was 1 of 1 from 3-point range. The Pistons next play Friday against the Nuggets.
Pistons' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scores 28 vs. Rockets
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(1/31/15) Pistons shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope shared the team scoring lead Saturday with a season-high 28 points on 10 of 21 shooting, including 6 of 11 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 114-101 win over the Rockets.
Caldwell-Pope delivered the second-best scoring performance in his career thanks to his success from behind the arc, making six three-pointers in one game after managing only five in his previous five games combined.
''I felt good,'' Caldwell-Pope said after the game, per the Associated Press. ''I got myself going with my energy on the defensive end, ran the floor to get easy baskets and that opened up my outside shooting.''
Caldwell-Pope also racked up five rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal in 40 minutes of action. The Pistons will face the Heat Tuesday.
|Quietly, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope appeared in 80 games as a rookie, finishing seventh in his class in minutes played. It would be hard to blame any Fantasy owners for missing Caldwell-Pope's rookie season, as he averaged just 5.9 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, despite his extensive playing time. The Pistons were a dysfunctional mess on offense, and Caldwell-Pope found himself squeezed out more often than not, as he finished just eighth on the team in field-goal attempts per game. A new coach and a less crowded backcourt could open things up for him as a sophomore, but Caldwell-Pope is unlikely to be a featured option, and can probably be ignored in the majority of Fantasy leagues on Draft Day
