|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(2/28/15) Knicks shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. scored a team-high 22 points on 8 of 15 shooting, including 2 of 5 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 103-98 win over the Raptors Saturday.
The 22 points marked Hardaway's highest scoring total in 11 games this month and allowed the Knicks to close out February the same way they started the month -- with a win. He also racked up seven rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes.
The Knicks are set to square off with the Kings at home Tuesday.

|(2/25/15) Knicks coach Derek Fisher said that guard Tim Hardaway Jr. will start Wednesday's game against the Celtics in Boston, the team announced.
Hardaway has drawn just one start in his last 10 appearances but has averaged more than 30 minutes of action in the last three games, putting up 11.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game during that stretch. He's averaged 11.1 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 54 games, playing 23.4 minutes per game.

It was his first time scoring over 20 points in a game since Dec. 18. He also gradded six rebounds and dished out five assists for New York.
Knicks' Fisher trying to 'encourage' Hardaway Jr. during slump
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(1/14/15) Even after the Knicks traded Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith to give some of the team's younger players a bigger role, second-year guard Tim Hardaway Jr. continues to have his struggles.
He is 4 for 24 from 3-point range in four games since New York shipped Smith and Shumpert to Cleveland, and he was benched 37 seconds into the second half Saturday against the Hornets for a defensive lapse.
"I just try to encourage Tim to continue to build consistent habits, a consistent approach, a consistent mindset," coach Derek Fisher said, per the New York Post. "Tim is a second-year player, he’s not going to have all of what you need to be consistently successful at this point, but he’s doing well.
"He’s having a rough patch right now but he works hard every day. He’s the first one in the building most afternoons."
|In a dark season, Tim Hardaway Jr. showed up as a rare bright spot for the Knicks a year ago. Hardaway was one of just four rookies to average double figures in scoring, as he came in at 10.2 points per game in 81 appearances. He didn't do much else, finishing with 1.5 points and 0.8 assists per game, as Hardaway's role on the team was that of a pure gunner. He nailed 130 3-pointers at a 36.3 percent success rate, and should return to a similar role in his second season in the league. Hardaway is a solid scorer, but does not do enough to be considered more than a late-round Fantasy option on Draft Day.
