|by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com|
|(3/19/15) Timberwolves forward Anthony Bennett will not make his return to the hardwood Thursday against the Knicks.
The Timberwolves announced that Bennett has been ruled out due to his sprained ankle. On Feb. 28, Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders said he was hopeful Bennett could make his return two weeks from then.
The last time Bennett played was on Feb. 20.
The Timberwolves also announced Robbie Hummel (hand) and Shabazz Muhammad (finger) will not play.

|(2/21/15) Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad is scheduled to have season-ending surgery on a torn ligament in his left middle finger, the organization announced Saturday night.
Muhammad was injured during practice on Wednesday. The surgery will take place at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
Yahoo! Sports was the first to report the story.
Muhammad's season comes to an end with averages of 13.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in 38 appearances.

|(2/21/15) Timberwolves small forward Shabazz Muhammad will miss the rest of the season with a finger injury, which will require surgery, according to Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Muhammad, who played the last three games for Minnesota, was coming off an injury that kept him out of the lineup for 16 consecutive games. Muhammad's season ends averaging 13.5 points and 4.1 rebounds in 38 games.
Timberwolves' Shabazz Muhammad out for Sunday's game
|by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com|
|(2/21/15) Timberwolves F Shabazz Muhammad didn't make the trip to Houston for Sunday's game against the Rockets, according to StarTribune.com's Kent Youngblood.
Muhammad played Friday with a sprained middle finger. He scored seven points in 13 minutes, but the finger will keep him out of Sunday's game.
Muhammad is averaging 13.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 37 games.
|It's hard to find a comparison for Shabazz Muhammad in today's NBA. He is a power guard, who relies on offensive rebounding and posting up to pile up buckets of points and free throws, but he doesn't really do much else. Still, for the month of December, that was a very neat trick, as he ended up averaging 18.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in the month, while even adding nearly a 3-pointer per game. His 3-point shooting remains a work in progress, but the blueprint for a very effective -- if unorthodox -- scorer is here. Unfortunately, the Timberwolves have more depth than you think, which means finding 25-plus minutes per game for him might be more difficult than it sounds. Still, given his upside as a scorer, Muhammad is worth taking a shot on in the later rounds on Draft Day.
