Hawks G Dennis Schroder plays playoff-low three minutes Sunday
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(5/25/15) Mike Budenholzer has apparently lost confidence in Dennis Schroder, at least if the playoff-low three minutes he gave the Hawks guard Sunday night is any indication.
Schroder played at least 11 minutes in every postseason game. But a need for outside shooting in the absence of Kyle Korver had Budenholzer opting for Shelvin Mack in the taut overtime loss in Cleveland.
Mack performed well, but his two misses on the last possession clinched defeat.
Schroder has hit on just 19 of his last 60 shots in the postseason.

Hawks guard Dennis Schroder says his toe is not broken
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(3/31/15) Hawks guard Dennis Schroder says his injured toe is not broken or considered a serious injury, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Schroder injured the toe during Monday's game and did not play Tuesday. In 72 games, Schroder is averaging 9.8 points and 4.2 assists.
|If the Hawks ever decide to move away from Jeff Teague, Dennis Schroder gave them plenty of reasons to think he is ready to take over. Schroder started 10 games last season and put up solid numbers, averaging 14.1 points and 7.7 assists per game; when Teague was out, Schroder was pretty much a must-play option for Fantasy. The Hawks still have Teague around, so don't expect an explosion from Schroder, however, his improving game does make him a nice sleeper target. The Hawks lost DeMarre Carroll this summer, a move that could make them more willing to go with dual point guard looks. Schroder should be good for double-digit scoring and close to five assists per game, making him a pretty good fifth guard, someone you can slide into your lineup when injuries strike. Target him in the late rounds on Draft Day.
