|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(1/22/15) Pelicans point guard Nate Wolters is expected to sign a second 10-day contract with the team, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Wolters, who signed with New Orleans last Wednesday, has made 15 appearances between the Pelicans and Bucks this season, averaging 2.2 points on 37.2 percent shooting. After seeing limited action in his first three games with the Pelicans, the point guard played 22 minutes Wednesday, scoring six points and grabbing six rebounds.
Pelicans sign guard Nate Wolters to 10-day contract
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(1/14/15) The Pelicans announced Wednesday they signed free agent guard Nate Wolters to a 10-day contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Wolters was waived by the Bucks last week after appearing in just 11 games this season. He's averaged 6.4 points, 2.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 69 career games.
|Nate Wolters had an impressive rookie season for a second-round pick, emerging as a starter for the Bucks before a season-ending hand injury. He averaged 7.2 points and 3.2 assists per game for the season as a whole, and likely enters the season in line for a chance to start at point guard. Wolters likely won't set the world on fire no matter what role he takes on, but he might be a cheap source of assists, one of the most sought after commodities in Fantasy basketball. In deeper, category-based leagues, Wolters might be worth a late-round flier if it looks like he has a starting role in hand.
