Zeller is dealing with a hand issue. Stephenson has a groin injury.
Hornets starting lineup shaping up as Stephenson, Williams assigned roles
|by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com|
|(10/1/14) Hornets coach Steve Clifford said Monday he plans to start Marvin Williams at power forward ahead of Cody Zeller and Lance Stephenson will start at either small forward or shooting guard, according to the Charlotte Observer.
With center Al Jefferson and point guard Kemba Walker also securing spots in the starting lineup, the final spot will come down to shooting guard Gerald Henderson or small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
Clifford is really excited about the potential Stephenson brings to the lineup.
"I’ve been around Kobe (Bryant) and (Tracy) McGrady and (Latrell) Sprewell in his prime. Lance isn’t there yet," Clifford said. "Lance was 13 1/2 (ppg.) last year. He’s young and talented. His efficiency shooting the ball, getting his turnovers down (need to improve). For us to talk about him as a legitimate All-Star player who we can play through, that’s the jump he needs to make and he knows that."

|(9/29/14) Although training camp has not started, Hornets coach Steve Clifford told the Charlotte Observer he plans to start newly acquired Marvin Williams at power forward ahead of second-year pro Cody Zeller. Williams signed a two-year, $14 million deal in the offseason after averaging 9.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 66 games in 2013-14 for the Jazz.

|(3/24/14) Bobcats center Cody Zeller managed to score in double figures on Monday against the Rockets.|
Zeller scored 10 points on 4 of 5 from the floor, and 2 of 2 from the free throw line. He also chipped in with four rebounds and one steal while logging 14 minutes of game action. He is averaging 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds over his last five games.
Cody Zeller finding some success
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
|(3/5/14) Bobcats center Cody Zeller has struggled mightily in his rookie season, but the No. 4 overall pick appears to be in a bit of a hot streak recently. Zeller scored in double figures for the fourth straight games Wednesday, in a 109-87 win over the Pacers.
Zeller scored 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting and added five rebounds in 20 minutes of action. He also chipped in two blocks and a pair of steals as the Bobcats ran away with the game.
Zeller is averaging 10.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game despite averaging under 20 minutes per game over the course of his double-digit scoring streak.
|Cody Zeller appeared in every game for the Bobcats as a rookie, but struggled to make much of a consistent impact as he transitioned to the NBA game. He averaged just 6.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, while shooting a putrid 42.6 percent from the field. The Hornets drafted Noah Vonleh with the No. 9 overall pick this offseason, so he could push Zeller for playing time even if Zeller inherits the starting job left vacant by the departure of Josh McRoberts. Zeller has some upside, but the Hornets don't have much room for him to step up into a huge role on offense. Given his struggles, Zeller is best left undrafted in most Fantasy formats.
