Celtics coach Stevens: I don't know when Vitor Faverani will return
|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(11/24/14) Celtics coach Brad Stevens told reporters that he's not sure when center Vitor Faverani will return to the lineup. Faverani has missed the first 12 games of the season after undergoing surgery on his injured knee in October. He remains without a timetable for return, per the Boston Globe.
"I don't know, to be honest," Stevens said. "When he initially had that surgery, I heard six to eight weeks, just like you did, and I've been told it's going to go longer than that."
Celtics C Vitor Faverani gives update on knee
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
|(11/22/14) Celtics center Vitor Faverani said Saturday that he feels "100 percent better" than he did before having surgery on his injured knee but remains very limited in what he can do on the knee, Celtics.com reports.
"My knee’s looking very nice. I’ve recovered my muscles in my leg," Faverani also said. "We’re just taking time to jump on the court. I don’t want the same thing to happen again, to work and then get back to playing before I can. I don’t want to injure it again."
Faverani was initially expected to miss six-to-eight weeks while recovering, but that window is coming to the close and he doesn't appear close to getting back on the court. He said that no timeframes have been discussed with the team doctors.
Celtics' Brad Stevens has 'zero idea' when Vito Faverani will return

|(11/17/14) Celtics coach Brad Stevens told reporters that center Vitor Faverani has not made any progress in his recovery from a knee injury, according to ESPN Boston. Faverani has yet to play a game this season and remains without a timetable for return.
"Zero idea," Stevens said. "I don’t know. I talked to him [Sunday]. They have not given him any specific timeline."

|(11/12/14) The Celtics will be without guard Marcus Smart and center Vitor Faverani Wednesday against Oklahoma City, reports CSNNE.com
Smart is nursing a sprained left ankle he suffered Friday against Indiana, while Faverani (knee) has yet to play during the 2014-15 season.
Celtics' Vitor Faverani back with the club
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
|(11/5/14) Celtics center Vitor Faverani returned to the club Wednesday.
Faverani was able to shoot around, but that was it. Coach Brad Stevens said it would be a while before he was ready to return. Faverani had knee surgery in October. He was expected to miss 6-8 weeks.
|Early last season, it seemed like the Celtics might have unearthed a diamond in the rough in Faverani, who signed a three-year deal last offseason. Faverani began the season as the surprise choice to start at center, and he put together consecutive double-digit scoring games to open the season. Unfortunately, he would manage that feat just twice more over 37 total games, as he finished the season averaging 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game before knee surgery ended his season. Faverani could see a larger role as he continues to develop, but he is unlikely to have much Fantasy value this season. Feel free to ignore him in all formats on Draft Day.
