Pistons' Tayshaun Prince, Spencer Dinwiddie likely done for season

by Ted Leshinski | Staff Writer
(4/13/15) Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said forward Tayshaun Prince and guard Spencer Dinwiddie (ankle) will most likely not play the rest of the season, according to the Detroit Free Press.

The Pistons are 7-point underdogs against the Cavaliers on Monday.

(4/1/15) Pistons backup guard Spencer Dinwiddie will miss Wednesday's game against the Hornets and is expected to miss at least Friday's game with a sprained ankle, coach Stan Van Gundy said before the game.

Pistons' Spencer Dinwiddie scores 20 in 21 minutes Saturday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2/28/15) Pistons point guard Spencer Dinwiddie scored a season-high 20 points on 8 of 14 shooting in just 21 minutes in Saturday's 99-95 loss to the Wizards.

Outside of filling in for coach Stan Van Gundy after the trade deadline when the team was managing with a depleted roster, Dinwiddie has seen sparse action this season. However, starting point guard Reggie Jackson struggled for a second consecutive night, allowing Dinwiddie to play more than 20 minutes for just the second time this season.

"He was terrific," Van Gundy said after the game, per the Associated Press. "He was playing too well (to take out). He was making a lot of plays and stayed on the attack. Outstanding game."

Dinwiddie also chipped in seven assists, four rebounds and one steal in the loss, the team's third straight. They'll look to put an end to the losing streak Wednesday in New Orleans.

Pistons' Spencer Dinwiddie nears double-double in win Friday

by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(2/20/15) Pistons point guard Spencer Dinwiddie wasn't even suppose to be on the roster this week. Instead, he drew the start Friday against the Bulls after D.J. Augustin was traded before Thursday's trade deadline.

"He was supposed to be going to Grand Rapids to play two D-League games this week, and now he's starting against Derrick Rose. That's a pretty big difference," coach Stan Van Gundy said.

Dinwiddie scored 12 points on 5 of 9 shooting from the field and dished out nine assists. He also added three steals to his totals.

"I was getting ready to head to Grand Rapids for the weekend, and then all the crazy stuff started happening at the trade deadline," Dinwiddie said. "I was just trying to keep up with who was going where, and all of a sudden they told me that my plans had changed.

"I thought they meant I had gotten traded, too. Luckily, I just didn't have to go to the D-League."
