Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic (knee) remains without a timetable to return
|by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com|
|(7/8/15) As Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic rehabs from a torn left patella tendon in his knee, he said he's not putting a time limit on his return, reports The Denver Post.
"I'm going to be patient," he said. "Everything is going good. [Trainers and doctors] tell me that everything is good. I feel so good, but I must be patient day-by-day."
Nurkic underwent the surgery in May and was expected to need four months to recover. Nurkic said he's not concerned about not being ready when training camp opens.
"It's not important for now," Nurkic said. "Let's think about the next 15 years, not one month before, or one less. I just make sure my career is not [hurt] again with this so I just want to make sure I'm fine. It's not a big deal. I just want to make sure that when I'm back, I'm 100 percent here."

Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic available to play Friday
|by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com|
|(3/13/15) Nuggets center Jusuf Nurkic is available to play in Friday's game against the Warriors, the Denver Post reports.
Nurkic, who is averaging 7.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, has missed the last eight games for Denver with an ankle injury. The Nuggets are currently 4-point favorites.
|One of two first-round picks for the Nuggets last year, it was something of a surprise that Jusuf Nurkic even came to the NBA right away. It was even more surprising when, as a 20-year-old, who showed some dominant skills, albeit in flashes. Nurkic forced his way into the started lineup by January, and averaged 8.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.4 combined blocks and steals in just 23.4 minutes per game as a starter, before injuries forced the Nuggets to dial his role back. He put up extremely impressive per-minute numbers for a rookie, though he also averaged 6.8 personal fouls per-36 minutes, something that is going to be a real impediment to a larger role if he can't improve. Still, Nurkic should enter the season as the clear-cut starter for the Nuggets, and has the ability to evolve into a real Fantasy difference maker before long. If you snag him late in a draft, you might end up with one of the best sleeper candidates in the league next season
