Battier gets back to it: Just two days after missing his first game of the season, Heat forward Shane Battier was back on the floor against the Raptors on Wednesday. He had a pretty typical game, playing 25 minutes off the bench, scoring seven points with six rebounds, two assists and two steals as the Heat defeated Toronto, 96-72. (Updated 04/18/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Battier is relied on more for his defensive presence that his offensive ability as he is averaging just 4.8 points per game this season. He is averaging nearly a steal per game in 23 minutes of playing time, but is still considered a marginal option in all Fantasy formats. (Updated 04/18/2012).

LeBron James scored 30 points, Dwyane Wade added 28, and the Miami Heat moved a win away from another trip to the Eastern Conference finals with a 115-83 victory over the suddenly hurting Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.
05/21/2012 19:54 Some help would be nice, but Heat need dynamic duo to be supermen

05/20/2012 18:39 LeBron, Wade shine; Heat even series
LeBron James scored 40 points, superstar sidekick Dwyane Wade added 30 - 22 in the second half - and Miami's dynamic duo took over after halftime to bring the Heat even the series with a 101-93 win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinal Sunday.
If you are in a standard Head-to-Head format, expect Shane Battier to be on and off the waiver wire for much of the season. In category leagues, though, Battier will make for a worthwhile reserve to keep around for use throughout the season. A jack-of-all-trades, but master of none, he is capable of filling up a box score without excelling in any particular category. He has averaged a 9-5-3-1-1 stat line throughout his NBA career, though his numbers did experience a bit of a decline after being traded to the Grizzlies for the final 23 games of the regular season. A role player both in real life and in Fantasy hoops, he will be worth little more than a pick in the final round or two of most leagues. (Updated 8/28/11)
