|Tyson Chandler expects to return within three weeks |
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(12/9/13) Knicks center Tyson Chandler (leg) took part in some non-contact work at practice Monday, but that doesn't mean he is particularly close to returning to the court.
Five weeks removed from suffering a non-displaced fracture of his fibula, Chandler told reporters after Monday's session he expects to be back before the end of the calendar year. That gives him slightly more than 20 days to meet that timeline, already putting him behind the four-to-six-week timetable established when he first suffered the injury.

(11/5/13) Knicks center Tyson Chandler was forced out of Tuesday's game against the Bobcats with a leg injury.
Chandler sustained the injury in the opening quarter when he bumped his right knee with Kemba Walker. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game and the team announced that X-rays were "inconclusive." He is expected to undergo further tests on Wednesday.
Chandler scored just two points and grabbed two boards while logging seven minutes of game action before the injury. He is averaging 9.0 points and 11.3 rebounds in three games this season.

|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
(11/1/13) Knicks center Tyson Chandler made his presence felt in the paint during Thursday's contest against the Bulls.
Chandler finished with 19 rebounds in the 82-81 defeat, with 11 of those coming on the offensive side. He finished with seven points on 3 of 8 shooting from the field and also added two assists, a steal and four blocks to his stat line, while logging 36 minutes of game action.
Chandler has 17 points and 25 boards through his first two games.
|The New York Knicks would like center Tyson Chandler to become a more offensive player heading into his 13th NBA season. Fantasy owners would sure be appreciate of that as well. Chandler posted a double-double last season with 10.4 points and 10.7 rebounds per game to go with 1.1 blocks and a 64 percent shooting percentage. Any increase in offense from those numbers would give him a considerable boost in Fantasy value. He will turn 31 before the season, so it is hard to believe he'll improve too much offensively this year. Still, his numbers they way they've been, Chandler remains consistent enough to warrant drafting beginning in the middle rounds on Draft Day.
