Fantasy Analysis
Dalembert was putting up some decent production for the Rockets when he first signed with the club but it has fallen off dramatically of late, and he could start losing playing time if Monday's contest was any indicator. He is averaging just four points with 4.2 rebounds in his last five games, and is shooting under 35 percent over that span. Houston has been one of the teams rumored in acquiring Chris Kaman from the Hornets -- which would cut into Dalembert's minutes -- so keep an eye on the situation going forward. But until he starts picking up his scoring and rebounding, leave Dalembert reserved in larger Fantasy formats for the time being. (Updated 02/07/2012).

01/19/2012 22:55 Rockets need OT to edge Hornets
Kevin Martin scored 27 of his 32 points in the first half, Samuel Dalembert grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds and the Houston Rockets survived one of the worst fourth quarters in team history to beat the New Orleans Hornets 90-88 in overtime on Thursday night.
Samuel Dalembert proved he can be useful to Fantasy owners even in a bench role in his first season with the Kings. Despite starting just 46 games, his lowest total since his rookie season, he averaged a very useful 8.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Never much of an offensive weapon, Dalembert remains capable of chipping in around 10 points per game, but his main asset to Fantasy owners remains what he can offer in boards and blocks. View him as a viable No. 3 center to snag in the late rounds as a potential backup to be used, as needed, throughout the season. (Updated 8/28/11)
