Dalembert interested in Heat : Bucks center Samuel Dalembert, who will be an unrestricted free agent over the summer, said he has interest in possibly playing for the Heat next season, reports FOX Sports. Dalembert said he would be open to taking a paycut to play for a contending team. The Heat will be definitely an option, Dalembert added. Its up to them and seeing whats going to be out there. But at this point you want to be with a contending team. You dont want to go backwards, so you want to chase that promised land. (Updated 4/22/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Dalembert began the season as Milwaukee's starting center but was replaced by second-year man Larry Sanders early in the year. The veteran only appeared in 47 games as he was constantly shuffled in and out of interim coach Jim Boylan's rotation. He averaged 6.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in his limited time on the court and has made no secret about wanting to get out of Milwaukee. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on where Dalembert lands over the summer. However, he will likely need to secure a starting gig to retain any sort of Fantasy value. (Updated 4/22/13). |
| Samuel Dalembert decided to change things up again this offseason as he signed with Milwaukee. The 31-year-old is coming off a year in which he averaged 7.5 points and 7.0 rebounds, while blocking 1.7 shots per game in Houston last season. Dalembert ended up starting 45 games with the Rockets, but was constantly battling for minutes with Marcus Camby and even Jordan Hill at times, which was one of the reasons he averaged just 22.2 minutes per contest -- the second lowest output of his career. The 10-year veteran is expected to be Milwaukee's main man in the paint right out of the gate next season and should be line to see around 25-30 minutes per night. While that still likely won't be enough to get his scoring back into double figures, Dalembert has proved to be a productive No. 2 Fantasy center when given a healthy dose of playing time. Despite not having much upside at this stage of his career, Dalembert's 8-8-1.5 stat line is reason enough to spend a late-round pick on him in most formats. (Updated 8/27/12) |
