Murphy still not doing much: Lakers forward Troy Murphy continues to be a big part of the teams bench however he hasnt been making a big impact despite this, as he scored just eight points on 3 of 7 shooting on Sunday against the Suns. He also grabbed four rebounds and had an assist in the game, and his eight points did lead the bench, however the Lakers lost 102-90. (Updated 02/19/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Murphy hasnt managed to score in double digits at all in the month of February, and he is averaging just 4.5 points and 3.8 rebounds despite receiving 24.1 minutes per game. Murphy receives decent minutes, but hes just not enough of a difference maker to be worth a spot on most Fantasy rosters. Continue to leave him on waivers in all but the absolute deepest Fantasy leagues. (Updated 02/19/2012).
04/02/2012 00:24 Kobe scores 40, Lakers outlast Warriors
Kobe Bryant scored 40 points, Pau Gasol added 26 and the Los Angeles Lakers found themselves rallying for the second successive game against one of the West's worst teams, beating the Golden State Warriors 120-112 on Sunday night.
03/21/2012 13:00 The best and worst of the Lakers' offense
The Lakers offense has struggled this season and Kobe Bryant can be a huge part of those struggles, especially late. But with Ramon Sessions on board, there's a good chance that brighter days are ahead for L.A.'s offensive output.
Murphy is a very interesting case entering the 2011-12 season because his Fantasy value will depend very much upon where he lands. The 31-year-old Murphy started just four games last season as he battled injuries and bad situations. Murphy could land anywhere this season, except Boston, that much seems clear. The most important thing Fantasy owners should know about a guy who once averaged almost 11 rebounds per game over a two-year span with the Pacers is that he’s healthy, something that could not have been said last year. A healthy Murphy could be a rebounding machine, so Fantasy owners should treat him as a major sleeper. Fantasy owners should wait until very late in drafts to get him, but could be pleasantly surprised if they do. (Updated 8/23/11)
