Randolph earns an ejection in win: Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph played a big role in Friday's series-clinching Game 6 victory over the Clippers, and he might have enjoyed it a bit too much. Randolph led the team with 23 points on 8 of 12 shooting, and he began celebrating with a few minutes left. Unfortunately he was within earshot of referee Joey Crawford when he began talking to the Clippers' bench, and earned an ejection for his trouble. "I was just talking to the bench and exchanging words and Joey, he don't play so he tossed me," Randolph said. Randolph added five rebounds and four assists in the game, and he is unlikely to face additional penalties moving forward. The Grizzlies won the game, 118-105, and will move on to face the Thunder in the Western Conference Semifinals. (Updated 5/4/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Randolph averaged 20.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game in the first round of the playoffs, a marked improvement over his 15.4 points and 11.2 rebounds in the regular season. He is showing he can certainly still produce, but at his age he cannot bring it on a nightly basis. Randolph was still a solid Fantasy option this season, but his best days are obviously behind him. He should be taken after the first few rounds in most Fantasy formats on Draft Day next season. (Updated 5/4/13). |
| Zach Randolph is looking for a rebound season after injuries and poor performance made his 2011-12 a mediocre one by his standards. Randolph had posted at least 20 points and 11 boards in three straight seasons before putting up just 11.6 and 8.1 last year. The Grizzlies attempted to trade Rudy Gay in the offseason, who some say doesn't mesh well with Randolph. Still, Gay remains and Randolph will have to figure out how to co-exist as he tries to get back to a double-double per game. The 31-year-old Randolph should be able to put together a rebound season and get back to his status as a high-end Fantasy forward. Consider him just outside the top 15 forwards to target on Draft Day. (Updated 8/22/12) |
