J-Rich seeing three: Magic G Jason Richardson literately couldn't miss from 3-point range during Saturday night's contest against the Bucks. Richardson made nine of his 11 attempts from behind the arc in the 99-94 victory, en route to finishing with a season-high 31 points. He made eight of his nine attempts from downtown in the second half and made just two field goals inside 3-point range. Richardson also chipped in with four rebounds, two steals, and one assist, while logging 26 minutes of game action. "People think that once you turn a certain age, you don't have it anymore. You don't have the certain style of play you used to play," Richardson said. "I'm still young, so I had to show the guy I still had energy." (Updated 02/12/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Richardson has played very well since returning from his ankle injury and was able to catch fire on Saturday night. The 31-year-old is averaging 18.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists since his return to the lineup and has made at least three 3-pointers in each of those contests. While his overall production up to this point in the season has been disappointing, it appears Richardson may be starting to heat up a bit. Owners may want to think about getting him active heading into Fantasy Week 8 (Feb. 13-19). (Updated 02/12/2012).

Richardson got off to a red-hot start last season, averaging 21.0 points with the Suns through the first two months of the season. However, he was part of the mega-trade the Magic completed back in December that sent Richardson and Earl Clark to Orlando for the likes of Vince Carter and Marcin Gortat. Despite continuing to start, Richardson struggled to find his footing with the Magic, averaging 13.9 points during 55 games with the club. Now he enters the 2011-12 campaign as a free agent and is unlikely to be brought back to the Magic Kingdom. However, his value likely won't change much no matter where he lands. Owners can expect the veteran to be a consistent mid-teens scorer, whose greatest asset will be his 3-point shooting. Richardson shot 39 percent from behind the arc last season and can once again be considered a low-end option heading into next season. He is worth a late-round pick in head-to-head formats but should go earlier in category-based leagues. (Updated 8/23/11)
