J-rich struggling to find touch : Magic guard Jason Richardson told the Orlando Sentinel on Saturday that he has and try to get himself more involved in the team's offense. Richardson is averaging a career-low 11.1 points per game on the year and is shooting 41 percent from the field. He has scored in double figures only once over his past six games and just 31 percent from behind the arc over that stretch. "I have to get myself involved in the game more," he said. "But you also have a lot of guys here that can pick it up [the scoring]. It's not always about scoring. I have to do other things. It's always about defense," he said. (Updated 03/31/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Richardson has really struggled to find his game this season as his numbers are way down across the board. He has logged 18 games in which he has failed to score in double figures and has seen his minutes take a hit as a result. He is seeing a career-low 28.7 minutes per contest and only logged more than 30 minutes once over his last six games. While he should be able to turn things around eventually, owners may want to sit him down heading into Fantasy Week 15 (April 2-8) in favor of a more reliable option. (Updated 03/31/2012).

04/25/2012 21:57 Magic clinch 6 seed; Bobcats' skid at 22
J.J. Redick had six 3-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points as the Orlando Magic held off Charlotte 102-95 on Wednesday night, the Bobcats' 22nd consecutive loss.
Richardson got off to a red-hot start last season, averaging 21.0 points with the Suns through the first two months of the season. However, he was part of the mega-trade the Magic completed back in December that sent Richardson and Earl Clark to Orlando for the likes of Vince Carter and Marcin Gortat. Despite continuing to start, Richardson struggled to find his footing with the Magic, averaging 13.9 points during 55 games with the club. Now he enters the 2011-12 campaign as a free agent and is unlikely to be brought back to the Magic Kingdom. However, his value likely won't change much no matter where he lands. Owners can expect the veteran to be a consistent mid-teens scorer, whose greatest asset will be his 3-point shooting. Richardson shot 39 percent from behind the arc last season and can once again be considered a low-end option heading into next season. He is worth a late-round pick in head-to-head formats but should go earlier in category-based leagues. (Updated 8/23/11)
