Watson to the rescue: Riding adrenaline (and some pre-game treatment on his sprained ankle,) Jazz G Earl Watson took a close game and broke it open for Utah on Friday against the Lakers. Watson, who was not even expected to play in the game with the ankle injury sustained on Wednesday, scored eight points and had six assists in the fourth quarter as the Jazz beat the Lakers for the first time in three tries this season, 96-87. Watson finished the game with just the eight points but 11 assists overall in 26 minutes off the bench, as the Jazz took what was a tied game at the end of the third quarter and broke it open. "Man, Earl isn't even supposed to be playing right now, that's the crazy thing about it. He's out there on one leg, having an amazing game for us," Jazz F Paul Millsap said. (Updated 02/05/2012)

Fantasy Analysis
Watson puts up over four assists per game on the season, but that is pretty much where his Fantasy value ends. He scores less than four points per game and doesn't do much rebounding or anything else in the 20-22 minutes he gets most nights. While he continues to see normal minutes, consider the 32-year-old a low-end Fantasy option, despite the big performance. (Updated 02/05/2012).
